Eagle Rock Entertainment Announces Release Date, Specs For New Live Recording From The Cure

Legendary rock band The Cure celebrated the 40th anniversary of its creation last year, and now fans of the band will get to enjoy the celebration themselves with a new forthcoming live recording featuring two live performances from the band.

40 Live – Curaetion – 25 + Anniversary is scheduled for release Oct. 18 on DVD and Blu-ray through Eagle Rock Entertainment.  The DVD release is a 2DVD/4CD set and the Blu-ray release is a 2BD/4CD set.  Each set features a 40-page book.

Along with the noted platforms, Eagle Rock Entertainment will also release the recording on separate deluxe Ltd. Ed. Hardbook 2DVD and 2 Blu-ray platforms.  Each platform also features a 16-page book.

The first of the two concerts featured in 40 Live – Curaetion – 25 + Anniversary is Curaetion – 25From There To Here | From Here To There.  The concert was recorded in June 2018 on the 10th and final night of the 25th Meltdown Festival.  The festival was held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

The concert features the band performing one song from each of its 13 albums in chronological order.  In other words, the band’s albums are represented in the order in which they were released through the songs.  The set also features hints of the band’s future with a group of new songs.

The second of the collection’s concerts is Anniversary1978 – 2018 Live in Hyde Park, London.  This four-hour, 29-song set was captured July 7, 2018 at one of London’s Royal Parks.
