he Night Flight Orchestra is giving audiences a taste of a new song.

The Swedish classic/progressive rock band’s guitarists — David Andersson and Sebastian Forsland — have posted a video of themselves in the recording studio improvising a new song titled ‘Race Towards Bremen on a Floridian Highway.’  The video is presented in an old-school 1908’s style look that is sure to entertain certain audiences.

Andersson explained that the song is a celebration of sorts of their own influences.

“‘Race Towards Bremen on a Floridian Highway’ is a tribute to all the 80s soundtracks we grew up with and the unknown always growing inside us,” Andersson said.

Andersson added that he and Forsland presented the video in the chosen format because something more organic felt better than something prepared.

“Me and Sebastian had planned to meet in his studio to do a play through of one of our new songs for my endorser, ESP Guitars,” Andersson said.  “But when we got there, it felt quite boring to just mime along to a pre-recorded track, pretending to be excited about it, and it doesn’t really represent the spirit of The Night Flight Orchestra.  So, knowing Sebastian is a one man band all in himself, we thought it would be much more fun to improvise a new track live in the studio instead, with us doing everything ourselves in real time.”

‘Racing Towards Bremem on a Floridian Highway’ is a fully new song and is not included in the band’s most recent album Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough, which was released June 29 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Along with its new video, The Night Flight Orchestra has also announced an extensive new tour schedule that will take the band across Europe throughout the months of November and December.  The tour is currently scheduled to launch November 1 in Malmo, Sweden and to run through December 22 in Bochum, Germany.  The tour’s current schedule is noted below.
