Soulfly returns this fall with another new album, and in anticipation, the band has debuted the album’s lead single.

Ritual, the band’s 11th full-length studio recording, is scheduled to be released in stores and online October 19 via Nuclear Blast Records.  The 10-song record was produced, mixed and recorded by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Killer Be Killed).  Soulfly front man Max Cavalera expressed his respect for Wilbur as part of the reason for tapping him to helm the record’s creation during a recent interview.

“Working with Josh Wilbur with Soulfly this time around has been amazing,” Cavalera said.  “He’s a huge fan and added a lot to the record. I would fight for the fast songs and he would always push me to add more groove.  I thin kin the end we created a really cool mix of songs that covers a lot of ground in my career.  Let the Ritual begin!”

Pre-orders are open now for Ritual.  The record features a variety of guest vocal performances including performances from Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe and Immolation front man/bassist Ross Dolan.  The record’s track listing is noted below.

In anticipation of Ritual‘s release, Soulfly has debuted the album’s lead single ‘Evil Empowered.’  The song is streaming online now here.
